What is Hypnobirthing?

A fantastic tool using self-hypnosis, positive suggestion and relaxation, which is the KEY.

The techniques I teach reduce anxiety and fear but also, and very importantly, enable women to listen to their bodies, to birth instinctively. Pregnancy and birth hormones are encouraged to flow, leaving women feeling calm and confident.

We explore both the physiological and emotional aspects of birth, introducing practical skills such as touch and deep breathing and explore the power of language, using post-hypnotic suggestions and drawing up personalised affirmations.

The role of the partner

The contribution a partner/birth partner makes is really key, keeping women motivated and encouraged, supporting them by attending to their feelings and practical needs. The more partners understand the process of birth from an emotional and physiological point of view, the more confident women are.

Whether you want a natural water birth at home or are open to having an epidural in your local hospital, what you learn on these one day workshops will give you the confidence and ability to work with your body no matter what your birth choices are or how labour develops.
